learn about our history
We specialize in strategic financial support for high-revenue, blue and white-collar businesses—especially those that operate in complex, project-based environments.
Lissa Meza | Owner, CEO
Lissa studied Fine Arts and Business Management at Sam Houston State University and spent several years in account management and managerial positions. In these positions she witnessed the gap in communication, knowledge, and lack of efficiency first hand.
In 2020, Lissa started LM2 Business Solutions to help other business owners grow their businesses by providing them with financial guidance and consulting services. She wanted business owners to feel empowered by their own financials instead of hiding from them or only referencing them once a year after the fact.

We bring decades of experience working with fast-moving, high-volume businesses in the trades. Our work is precise, organized, and designed to scale.
Every system we implement is built for accuracy, efficiency, and control—so you always know where you stand.
We don’t just deliver reports. We help you understand what they mean and how to act on them, whether you’re bidding smarter or planning for growth.
Bookkeeping is the process of recording and tracking all financial transactions of a business, such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. Bookkeeping provides the basis for creating financial statements and helps businesses keep track of their income and expenses.
We offer a range of bookkeeping services to small and medium-sized businesses, including bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable management, payroll processing, financial reporting, and more. We can also customize our services to meet your specific business needs. Our services include CFO services, tax planning, tax preparation, operations assessments (on-site & off-site), and business consulting services.
Getting started with our services is easy. Simply schedule a free consultation. We’ll discuss your business needs and provide you with a personalized quote.
Most growing trade businesses pay $3,000 to $4,000 a month to hire a full-time accountant—and still lack the strategic insight they need. LM2 delivers CFO-level financial guidance and execution at about half that cost. You’ll get experienced advisory support, clean financial systems, and full-service execution without the overhead of a salaried internal team.
Yes, we can provide guidance and support for budgeting and financial planning. We can help you develop a budget, analyze your financial data, and create financial forecasts to help you make informed business decisions. Our CFO services will provide you with a self tie-out system of financial reports with reference to supporting documentation in order to help you make smart business decisions.
We work with high-performing businesses—particularly those in the construction and skilled trades. If your business is project-driven, manages job costs, and operates with tight margins and fast-moving cash flow, LM2 is built for you. We do not work with retail, medical, or restaurant clients. Our systems are designed for complex operations in the trades.
We help general contractors and other trades organize payables, receivables, and reporting across multiple subs and jobs. That includes keeping track of who’s been paid, how much labor is going where, and what each job is returning. Our systems bring structure to even the most complicated builds—so you stay in control, and everyone gets paid on time.
Absolutely. This is one of our specialties. Many trade businesses don’t have a clear view of how much each job is really costing them. We help you track materials, labor, subcontractors, and other variables by project, so you can see what’s profitable, what’s underperforming, and how to adjust.
We don’t just hand you reports and disappear. LM2 functions as a fractional CFO and financial operations partner. That means we offer strategic guidance while also managing the financial systems behind your business—like payroll, job cost tracking, reporting, and tax compliance. You’ll have a hands-on team that understands how the trades work and operates like an extension of your staff.
Yes—but we’re not just a once-a-year tax prep firm. We offer year-round tax planning designed specifically for trade-based businesses. From quarterly projections to proactive strategies, we help you minimize surprises, reduce your tax burden, and stay aligned with your long-term financial goals.
Yes, we take the security of your financial data very seriously. We use the latest encryption and security technologies to protect your data and ensure it remains confidential. We also have strict internal policies and procedures in place to safeguard your information.
If you run a project-based business, you need project accounting. This type of financial tracking allows you to break down your costs, revenue, and profitability on a per-job basis. It’s essential for contractors, builders, and specialty trades who manage multiple jobs, materials, subs, and schedules. Without it, you’re guessing. With it, you’re in control.
No. While we maintain physical offices in Houston, Austin, and Bryan, we serve clients across Texas and beyond. Our team uses secure, cloud-based systems to collaborate seamlessly from anywhere—and we’re happy to travel for in-person meetings when needed. You don’t need to be local to get high-level support. You just need a business that’s ready to grow.
You’ll always work with a real team—not a bot or a faceless dashboard. At LM2, we believe personal relationships build better systems. You’ll have a dedicated contact who knows your business, answers your questions, and proactively supports your goals. We use technology to streamline the work—not to replace real people.
We have a combined experience of almost 30 years in the accounting industry. All of LM2 team members are QBO proadvisors.
We can work with you to make any necessary adjustments to your services and ensure a smooth transition. Our engagement letter is a month to month agreement, either party can cancel at any time with 30 days notice in order to help with a smooth transition.
We do not serve restaurants, retail, or medical offices. LM2 was built specifically for project-driven, service-based businesses in the trades. Our systems, processes, and experience are designed to support the complexity of construction timelines, high-volume expenses, and crew-based operations—and that’s where we want to focus.
Our onboarding is designed around the way construction and trade companies already operate. We start by learning how you manage jobs, expenses, and labor—whether that’s paper receipts or cloud software. From there, we digitize your records, build reporting systems around your workflow, and implement tools that make your financial visibility cleaner and faster. You’ll be set up with real-time access and support from day one.
